Spaceblossom Design Director Kirstin Fu-Ying Wang Showcases Dream Villa

Kirstin Fu-Ying Wang, the founder and design director of Spaceblossom Design, has revealed the completion of the Dream Villa project, a stunning residential house in Taoyuan, Taiwan. The project, initiated in April 2019, was inspired by the client's dream of building a retirement villa on a spacious plot of land on the city fringe of Taoyuan. The villa's design concept was developed in collaboration with an architect and builder, with Spaceblossom Design contributing to the selection of tile finishes and providing a full interior design service to ensure a cohesive color palette throughout the property.

The Dream Villa boasts a spacious interior area of 147 square meters, featuring an open living space, a country-style kitchenette, and a bar. The private area includes a large master ensuite with a hidden door leading to a luxurious bathroom, as well as a garden adjacent to the bedroom, providing ample natural light. The design is characterized by an elegant farm house theme, incorporating elements such as a pitched ceiling, exposed timber beams, and a monotone color scheme to achieve a modern, timeless, and classic look.

One of the most challenging aspects of the project was the ceiling design, which required meticulous planning to conceal pipes and wires while maintaining the aesthetic shape and height. The exposed beams, covered with timber veneer, play a pivotal role in realizing the farm house theme, while carefully selected lighting fixtures and ceiling fans enhance the overall ambiance of the space.

Kirstin Fu-Ying Wang's extensive expertise and strategic design approach have been instrumental in bringing the Dream Villa to life, exceeding the client's expectations and creating a signature design that stands out. The project was awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative characteristics that meet professional and industrial requirements.
