Chengzhe Zhang's Wonderland Exhibition, inspired by Chinese landscape paintings, wins Silver A' Design Award in 2020.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chengzhe Zhang, the Founder and Chief Designer of IADC Designers, Ltd, has created Wonderland Exhibition, drawing inspiration from the masterpieces of Chinese landscape painters. The exhibition, located in the Shanghai Royals Garden Exhibition Center, aims to bridge the gap between industrialized urban environments and the natural world, offering a spiritual living space with modern design features.
The exhibition's design narrative reflects the profound transformation of the Taoyuan space, traditionally depicted in Chinese paintings, into a contemporary living room. The space is designed to immerse visitors in a journey from the industrialized environment to the natural world, evoking a sense of awe and wonder.
Wonderland Exhibition features a large glass art installation suspended in the air, comprising over 5,000 manually installed pink-white peach petals, simulating the temporal dynamics of natural movement. The space is carefully crafted to create subtle light and shadow changes, blurring the boundary between inside and outside, reminiscent of the interpretation of landscape painting.
Chengzhe Zhang's Wonderland Exhibition, a winner of the prestigious A' Design Award, represents a fusion of tradition and modernity, offering a unique and immersive experience for visitors.
