Chengdu, China - July 2019: Renowned designer Hong Wang unveils La Goccia, a two-story restaurant and bar, integrating international influences with the essence of Chengdu, creating a unique small wine culture experience.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hong Wang's La Goccia is a testament to innovative design, seamlessly blending Italian and Chengdu influences. The restaurant's first floor offers authentic Italian cuisine, while the second floor features a captivating bar. The standout feature is a four-story, seven-meter-high wine tower, a visual masterpiece that breaks the limitations of vertical space.
The use of mirror stainless steel and simulation technology for wood finishes enhances the visual appeal, while the strategic placement of the wine rack and the patio formation create an unparalleled spatial experience.
The facade design, emphasized by a large opening area, showcases the towering wine structure, creating an inviting ambiance. The lighting design, not only functional but also atmospheric, adds a captivating touch to the bar area.
La Goccia's project commenced in July 2018 and concluded in July 2019 in Chengdu, serving as a gathering place for locals and international visitors, including Italian expatriates and representatives from renowned companies like Maserati and Ferrari.
Overcoming challenges related to spatial constraints, the design team successfully established a central island bar layout and seamlessly integrated the indoor and outdoor spaces, providing a harmonious and extended visual experience.
The project was awarded the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its exceptional contribution to interior space, retail, and exhibition design.
