Zhang ZhaoYong's Chinese Quadrangle Hotel Design in Luoyang, Completed in 2019, Wins Silver A' Design Award
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Zhang ZhaoYong's Chinese Quadrangle Hotel Design in Luoyang, completed in 2019, has been awarded the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category in 2020. The design draws inspiration from traditional Chinese culture, integrating modernity and tradition into a beautiful picture.
The Chinese Quadrangle Hotel exudes an unsophisticated and good-neighborly atmosphere, connecting the ancient with the modern through the use of clay tiles and recycled bricks. The space is endowed with layers based on the traditional quadrangle courtyard, integrating the landscape into the courtyard and creating an overlap between the inside and the outside.
Spanning 5460 square meters, the hotel features a brick screen wall with heads in the shape of the twelve Chinese zodiac signs, wide external corridors, guest rooms, and a reception hall. The design seamlessly blends traditional wisdom and civilization with modern architectural concepts, offering a dynamic model for urban housing.
Zhang ZhaoYong, a Senior Designer at Singapore Zhuwei Space, has been recognized for his outstanding expertise and innovation in creating this remarkable architectural masterpiece.
