PRASHANT PARMAR ARCHITECT Unveils The Shaded House, a Self-Shading Residential Marvel in Ahmedabad
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRASHANT PARMAR ARCHITECT introduces The Shaded House, a nature-inspired individual residential home designed to provide a self-shading structure, protecting inhabitants from harsh sun rays while promoting natural ventilation and a refreshing ambiance. The house, located in the Paldi area of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is a blend of modern amenities and Indian-Modern aesthetics, designed to be self-sustainable and maintenance-free.
Created out of brick and concrete, the facade of The Shaded House is expressive, providing thermal comfort to users. The design incorporates elevated gardens, brick cladding, and large white frames with screening in the ceiling, creating a magical play of light and shadow. The spacious 4-bedroom house spans 45 feet by 90 feet, featuring a spacious living room, family room, dining area, kitchen, puja room, entertainment room, and a lift with a staircase for vertical transition.
The layout of the house flows naturally from common to private activities, with large windows allowing an influx of natural light. The second level encompasses an entertainment room and a huge shaded terrace garden, visually connecting all three levels. The project, which started in mid-2018, was completed in 2021 after overcoming challenges related to natural light, aeration, and visual connections with nature due to surrounding structures.
