A' Design Award winner Tzu-Yi Wang completes a heart-warming family tree residence in Taiwan
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Taipei City, Taiwan - Tzu-Yi Wang, a renowned designer, has completed the renovation of a 40-year-old residence, now known as the Family Tree. Located in the Feitsui Reservoir Protection Area of Xindian, this unique project draws inspiration from the natural sceneries of mountains and waters, incorporating the concept of a family tree to represent the co-existence of ten household members.
The renovated residence features a blend of old and new elements, with the interior designed to reflect the individual characteristics and preferences of each family member. The project aimed to preserve and inherit the memories and stories of the building, resulting in a refreshing new style for the residence.
Utilizing Taiwanese marbles, granites, mosaic tiles, and other natural materials, the design achieves a sustainable and emotionally resonant space. The project also received the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2022, recognizing its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence.
