Huang Yu's Shuiboli project is a warm, unique private residence that redefines conventional living spaces, aiming to evoke emotions and build interpersonal connections through its design.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Huang Yu's Shuiboli project is a 570-square-meter private residence that challenges traditional living spaces. The design features a sculptural staircase that optimizes spatial layout and circulation, creating a visual focus while avoiding an oppressive feeling. Natural light and interior artificial lighting complement each other, creating varying visual experiences and spatial atmospheres throughout the day.
The dining room incorporates metal and wooden veneers to create a contrasting visual effect and a sense of layering, while a large French window brings in daylight and frames the outdoor landscape. The project, completed in March 2022 in Huizhou, Guangdong Province, China, also features hidden lighting, an environment protection concept, and sustainability elements.
Shuiboli is the recipient of the Bronze A' Design Award in 2023, recognized for its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authenticates experience and resourcefulness, contributing to quality of life improvements.
