FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ike: Redefining Urban Living Spaces

Hatsuo Morimoto's "Ike" is a groundbreaking urban house design inspired by the densely populated areas of Japan, where architectural space is limited, and harmonizing with the surroundings is crucial. The design features a three-dimensional concrete outer wall, creating dynamism and sculptural accents, while allowing light and wind to permeate the interior space.

The house, occupying 70% of the land, incorporates gardens to encourage indirect light and ventilation, providing residents with a connection to nature from within the house. The project, which commenced in October 2016 and completed in January 2019, is a testament to the balance between architectural transparency and privacy in urban living.

With a site area of 365㎡ and a floor area of 602㎡, "Ike" stands as a symbol of innovative urban architecture, contributing to the formation of a good cityscape without being eccentric, in the heart of Nagoya city.
