FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

U A D Introduces Xu Wei Art Museum

U A D proudly unveils the Xu Wei Art Museum, a stunning architectural masterpiece located at No. 33, Houguan Lane, Yuecheng District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. Inspired by the essence of Oriental aesthetics, the museum embodies the concept of "unity of man and nature," creating a serene and ethereal art world. The project, spanning 8,000 square meters, is a testament to the fusion of traditional Chinese art and contemporary design.

The museum's unique design features transparent ground floors that connect exhibition halls, allowing changing light and shadows to harmonize the space. The interior courtyard, inspired by Xu Wei's paintings, enhances transparency and seamlessly integrates with the surrounding landscapes, providing visitors with an immersive experience.

The design team, including Chu Ran, Liu Wanlin, Wang Junzheng, and Mei Wenbin, meticulously crafted the museum to embody the Oriental aesthetic functions of "hiding, resting, self-cultivating, and wandering," creating a coherent spatial experience for tourists.

As the recipient of the Silver A' Design Award in 2023, the Xu Wei Art Museum stands as a testament to U A D's commitment to innovation and excellence in architectural design. The museum's completion in October 2021 marks a significant milestone in the architectural landscape of Shaoxing City, offering a space where art, nature, and history converge to create a truly immersive experience.
