KUN-HAN YANG's Luna project, a three-story cafe and classroom, was completed in November 2021 in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, inspired by the location and the works of Hayao Miyazaki.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
KUN-HAN YANG's Luna project is a fusion of Japanese style and vintage charm, drawing inspiration from the location and the works of Hayao Miyazaki. The first floor features a Japanese impression with wood grain elements, a Zen atmosphere, and a cafe bar cabinet expressing the image of time-shifting. The second floor retains the original 1970s building materials, reborn with innovative designs, while the third floor showcases a new Japanese style, transformed into an internationally certified coffee classroom.
The project, covering 121 square meters, offers a coffee bar and gallery on the first floor, a seating area on the second floor, and a professional international certified coffee classroom on the third floor. With a total capacity of 32 people on the first and second floors, the space provides a flexible and comfortable environment for patrons, resonating with historical patterns and offering an adventurous and explorative experience.
The Luna project features materials such as Taiwan cedar, stone, stainless steel, glass, red bricks, and plants. The design team utilized minimalist elements and lines to divide the space, enhancing the professional image with stainless steel cabinets and glass installations, reflecting modern Japanese style and the Tiger Mountain Shrine.
