Mouiller: Aesthetic Salon by SHUNSUKE OHE

Renowned designer SHUNSUKE OHE has reimagined a 90-year-old warehouse in Osaka, Japan, to create Mouiller, an exotic aesthetic salon that seamlessly blends Eastern and Western influences. The space, spanning 270 sqm, features a simple yet dynamic interior with a striking atrium, offering a unique experience for visitors. The project was completed from August 2021 to October 2021.

The interior of the building, originally a warehouse, has been revitalized without excessive decoration, emphasizing simplicity and elegance. The space houses treatment booths, powder rooms, and a 10-meter-high atrium, creating a sense of openness and dynamism while maintaining privacy for visitors.

Utilizing finishing materials from the original construction 90 years ago, combined with new materials, the design showcases a harmonious blend of old and new. The salon's unique layout features six treatment booths arranged in concentric circles around a central public sofa, enhancing the overall ambiance.

CEO and founder of LUSTYdesign Inc., SHUNSUKE OHE, has a passion for creating designs that evoke emotional responses. His work has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2022, highlighting the practicality and innovation of Mouiller Aesthetic Salon.
