Humanistic Vision: Redefining Residential Spaces with Elegance and Functionality

Tzu-Hsuan Liu's Humanistic Vision project is a testament to the designer's ability to blend the different aesthetic and usage needs of clients into a cohesive and visually stunning living space. The project, completed in June 2021, involved the renovation of a 23-year-old apartment, transforming it into a 76 square meter composite space that exudes tasteful life and a visual impact of warm and cold tones.

One of the unique features of the design is the integration of bold elements such as iron-sand galvanized steel doors and hexagonal tiles at the entrance, harmonizing with the softness and elegance of the overall space. The open kitchen design, with its combination of iron hanging cabinets and small frames, eliminates traditional visual obstructions, creating a sense of openness and freedom within the space.

The project's realization technology involved the skillful use of different materials to match the preferences of the male and female clients. The designer incorporated wood veneer on the ceiling to make the beams invisible and used stone plastic flooring to maintain a bright and mild ambiance without the traditional yellow tint of wood flooring.

Despite facing challenges such as the need for extensive repairs and renovations in the old building, Tzu-Hsuan Liu successfully overcame obstacles related to low beams, pipes, and the clients' desire for open yet clearly defined spaces. The result is a multifunctional living space that seamlessly integrates the master bedroom with the dressing room, study room, and guest room, while prioritizing natural light and simplicity in design.

The Humanistic Vision project has been recognized with the prestigious A' Design Award in 2023, affirming its innovative and practical approach to interior space design. Through this project, Tzu-Hsuan Liu has demonstrated a deep understanding of the unique taste and lifestyle preferences of the clients, creating an experience that beautifully captures the essence of a tasteful and harmonious living environment.
