FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Komet Design has transformed a 30-year-old commercial space into Gluck Cafe, a unique establishment located beside Riverbank Park in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The design concept draws inspiration from the natural surroundings, aiming to create a complex commercial space that integrates catering, interior design, aesthetics, and products from local farmers. The loop-shaped structure symbolizes the circle of life, emphasizing the coexistence of humanity and nature.
The word "Gluck," derived from German, conveys the meaning of luck and happiness. The design features a loop-shaped structure with a bigger square on the outside for display stands and bar seating, while the inner square houses the working area. The use of natural materials such as marble, cement, wood, and steel, along with a color scheme inspired by the river and sky, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.
