Synergetic Purity is a residential design project completed in December 2018 in New Taipei City, Taiwan, integrating minimalist elegance with enriched spatiality, inspired by the calm yet lively lake surface.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Marcus Hsu's Synergetic Purity is a residential design project that seamlessly blends minimalist elegance with enriched spatiality, catering to the preferences of both male and female clients. The design draws inspiration from the calm yet lively lake surface, reflecting simplicity and liveliness in the public and private domains. The use of simple line work and a carefully selected color scheme, complemented by multiple materials, creates an enriched visual experience.
Despite the limited interior area of approximately 82 square meters, the design optimizes living circulation and visual aesthetics, utilizing ultra-scratch-resistant timber flooring, gloss tiles, granite, grey glass, timber veneer, system cabinets, wallpaper, and curtains. The layout includes a living room, dining area, kitchen, reading and study area, two bedrooms, a multi-functional guestroom, and a bathroom.
One of the unique features of Synergetic Purity is the minimal layout shift, with only the existing wall of the master bedroom being pushed out to increase spatial dimensions and accommodate functional cabinet volume for elevated comfort. The open-plan layout takes advantage of ample natural lighting and mountain vistas, creating a seamless connection between the living room, dining area, and study room.
Challenges arose from the differing spatial preferences of the male and female clients, which were addressed through carefully considered material and color scheme combinations, resulting in an elegant and enriched aesthetic. The project was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach that meets professional and industrial requirements.
