Golden Black Rhyme: A Unique and Elegant Residential Design

TAIWAN (CHINA) -- /ARCHITECTURE/newswire -- Oct 10, 2019

The inspiration for Golden Black Rhyme came from the client's favorite painting, an abstract piece full of oriental flavor, which the designer extended into the space, using golden and black as the theme. The painting's colors and lines influenced the choice of materials and furniture, creating a visually balanced and elegant living space.

The design features a unique use of melamine board, quartz lamina, glass, wood, and steel, with a focus on creating a space that meets the needs of three generations. The first floor is a public area for interaction, while the second to fourth floors are private areas, each with its own setup to maximize comfort and privacy.

One of the main challenges faced during the project was the technical difficulty of splint jointing the television main wall due to the lamina material. Additionally, the team had to overcome the presence of a huge pillar on the left bevel, which increased the difficulty of construction.

Puji Design, founded by Pei Chun Chiu in 2013, specializes in residential, commercial, and functional design, with a focus on natural design techniques that fuse customers' requirements with unique design styles.
