FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Inspired by the principle of balanced symmetry in the Chinese philosophy of Yinyang, "Beauty of Yinyang" seamlessly integrates traditional Chinese aesthetics with modern functionality. The project showcases vintage glass window craft, gold foil, large water ink wall painting on paper, genuine timber, and marble, culminating in a unique fusion of cultural heritage and contemporary design.
Distinct from Western spatial design, the project exudes reservation, harmony, serenity, and order, encapsulating the functionality of modern Western design while preserving the essence of traditional Chinese culture. The design team overcame technical challenges, seamlessly integrating the indispensable circle element and mounting a large traditional Chinese water ink painting on the wall to exhibit the grandeur of celebrated fulfillment.
Recipient of the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020, "Beauty of Yinyang" exemplifies outstanding and creatively ingenious designs that contribute to quality of life improvements. Sung Chih Hsiu's dedication to preserving traditional culture while infusing modern aesthetics has resulted in a design that captures the essence of traditional Chinese culture in a contemporary setting.
