Designer Ao Han unveils The Beijing Parade, a resplendent Belt and Road-themed restaurant, paying homage to the Tang Dynasty
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Designer Ao Han has unveiled The Beijing Parade, a resplendent Belt and Road-themed restaurant paying homage to the Tang Dynasty. Located in the headquarters of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), the restaurant presents a flourishing Tang Dynasty landscape with majestic, grand, vigorous, and romantic elements in a highly abstract way. The space is featured by a concise and refined style, ingeniously revealing subtle clues and metaphors of the brilliant achievements of the Silk Road, reinterpreting the historical nodes of the great international exchanges.
Spanning 1800 square meters, The Beijing Parade showcases Tang-style lamps and furnishings, creating a harmonious and resplendent atmosphere. The corridor is embellished with red woven warp and weft, leading to a pagoda that lights up the end of the road, connecting space and time, reddening the dream-like dark night. The project, which started in July 2020, was completed in September 2021 in Beijing.
Ao Han, an experienced designer, is known for his ability to combine different local cultures in his works, presenting Chinese restaurant aesthetics through contemporary design language. His dedication to creating better design through aesthetics and innovation has earned him the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2023 for The Beijing Parade.
