Yi-Hua Li's Award-Winning Design Transforms an Old House into a Modern Oasis in Taipei
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Renowned designer Yi-Hua Li has successfully transformed an old, maze-like house into a modern oasis, showcasing a fusion of simplified and dignified sentiments. The project, spanning 165.3 square meters, was completed in December 2019 in Taipei, Taiwan.
The project involved displacing and removing the existing wall body to re-plan and arrange the layout, providing comprehensive storage solutions and addressing lighting issues. The construction materials were carefully selected to emphasize sustainable utilization of earth resources and environmental protection.
Utilizing eco-friendly wooden flooring and recyclable sawdust, the design effectively minimizes the cutting down of trees, contributing to the use of eco-friendly construction materials. The project also incorporates recyclable eco-friendly floor tiles, FENIX germ-free panels, and eco-friendly coatings, ensuring a safe and healthy living environment.
Yi-Hua Li's State of the Art project has received the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that contributes to quality of life improvements.
