FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ship 79, a seafood restaurant interior design project by Xiongbiao Luo, brings a unique dining experience to Shenzhen. Inspired by the cabins of fishing boats, the design aims to highlight the freshness of seafood through a modern minimalist style and the use of warm yellow tones, natural wooden, and rattan materials. The 2800 sqm space features bent lines, curved ceilings, and U-shaped partitions, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere reminiscent of a fishing boat.
The semi-private rooms in Ship 79 are designed with hollowed arc partitions and rattan screens to provide privacy while offering a view outside, simulating the experience of sitting in a cabin. Water corrugated glass partitions and a corridor designed to resemble water waves enhance the theme of the space and create a transparent, open environment. The booths by the window, resembling travel boxes, offer a fun and immersive dining experience.
The project, which commenced in April 2020, was completed in November 2020 in Shenzhen. The design incorporates terrazzo flooring in the lobby, gray leather seats, and multi-level changes in the ceiling to create a comfortable and thought-provoking space. The use of plain linear lighting and removable components adds to the simplicity and agility of the space, while also allowing for recycling.
