Piccola Enoteca: Redefining Italian Dining

Iun Lung Lu, an acclaimed designer from Zhubei City, Taiwan, has unveiled his latest masterpiece - the transformation of Piccola Enoteca, an Italian restaurant, into a six-floor dream space. The design, which won the Silver A' Design Award in 2020, captures the essence of Italian cuisine and culture, offering a unique and immersive dining experience.

Leveraging the spirit of "commencing with details and diligence," Piccola Enoteca boasts polished cooking, meals, professional service, and an inviting atmosphere. Lu's meticulous attention to detail is evident in the use of high-quality building materials, creating a space that is both exquisite and textured, reminiscent of the restaurant's authentic Italian offerings.

The design overcame various challenges, including creating a welcoming entrance within limited street-facing width and seamlessly integrating functional elements such as cooking facilities, refrigerators, and storage. The result is a space that reflects the client's high demands and introduces a new concept for an Italian bistro.

Lu's innovative use of materials, including metal-framed windows, hand-made blackened steel, Champaka wood, Cryptomeria, Serpent stone, marble, and GOLDSTONE marble, along with hand-scratched wood floors and paint, adds a unique touch to each floor. From the grotto-shaped basement to the internal courtyard that expands visual depth, every aspect of the design invites patrons to immerse themselves in the ambiance of Italian dining.

With a construction period spanning from October 2017 to December 2018, the Piccola Enoteca project showcases Lu's ability to integrate original materials, Italian elements, and the restaurant's brand image to create a space that reflects the true essence of Italian dining culture and environment.

His exceptional work has earned him numerous international accolades, including the prestigious A' Design Award from Italy, solidifying his position as a visionary in the world of design.
