Introducing "The Home of Bobo" by Deng Zhichao, a residential design project that redefines modern living spaces with transparency and change, aiming to awaken the love of young people for their own homes. The project was completed in Chongqing, China, from August 2018 to May 2019.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Shenzhen Research Commune Design Co., Ltd. presents "The Home of Bobo," a residential design project by Chief Designer Deng Zhichao. The project reimagines modern living spaces, addressing the homogenization of commercial real estate and the lack of individuality in apartment living.
The original structure, consisting of two lofts, was transformed into a transparent and bright space with a wide view. Most of the walls were removed to create a seamless connection between the living room, dining room, and kitchen on the first floor, reflecting the hospitable character of the owner. The second floor, designed as the private space, utilizes intelligent glass elements to maintain a sense of transparency throughout.
The design features attractive and unique furniture, skillfully matched with background tones to create an artistic atmosphere. The use of contrasting yet unified materials, such as twill laminate flooring, varnished boards, marble, and carpet patterns, adds depth and character to the space. Green plants by the window bring a touch of nature indoors.
Spanning 150 sqm, "The Home of Bobo" is a testament to the creativity and vision of Deng Zhichao, offering a playful and variable living space that meets the needs of the owner, a collector and travel enthusiast. The project received the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that contributes to quality of life improvements.
