FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Free Flowing: A Modern Retreat in the Heart of the City

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, urban residents need a peaceful and quiet space to rejuvenate their mind and retreat from the stresses and problems that are associated with their everyday lives. The "Free Flowing" design concept aims to generate a sequence of free-flowing spaces through the use of different materials, textures, finishings, layering techniques, and layout planning to create a sense of space, depth, and fluidity. This configuration creates a modern, luxury, and stylish look in a small hideout located in one of the most high-end residential apartments in Kowloon, Hong Kong.

The open concept dining room features a characteristic white marble wall body decorated with bookmatching fine greyish slanted veins, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Italian black multi-light pendants add a simplistic and stylish touch to the glossy white dining wall.

The design of the ceiling, originating from White Fine Vein Staturio Marble textures, fills the entire dining and living area with a sense of grandness. The use of black and white, thick and thin lines, and different shades and hues of light creates a hint of geometrical effect in the room.

Glossy White Fine Vein Staturio Marble extends from the dining to the living area, creating harmony and unity in the interior. The living area features Crocodile Black with antiqued finished marble, creating a delicate contrast between rough and polished, light and shadow, dark and light, adding great personality to the room.

The design is characterized by coherent closet designs throughout the house, finished with rough and sturdy textured wood, complemented by black stainless steel, adding a touch of nature and originality to the space.

The "Free Flowing" design is realized using Italian White Fine Vein Staturio Marble, Crocodile Black Marble, French Wood Veneer, and Black Plated Stainless Steel, creating a saleable unit of 952 square feet, including the private left lobby.

Completed in 2018, this project is a testament to Benji Li's expertise in creating distinct spaces that do not compromise the sense of oneness of a home. The design integrates walk-in closets, light troughs, and built-in closets throughout the room to reduce chaos and disorder, creating a calming and relaxing atmosphere.

Benji Li's "Free Flowing" design was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative characteristics that meet professional and industrial requirements.
