E.D.S.T. unveils Hezi, a 1100 square meter foot massage spa, drawing inspiration from the serene stone house town on a Greek island, offering a unique slow life experience.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
E.D.S.T. presents Hezi, a foot massage spa project that encapsulates the essence of slow life and nature-inspired relaxation. The design concept is rooted in the idea of providing a vacation-like ambiance, aiming to alleviate the stress of urban life with a simple yet romantic environment.
The design features continuous cross arch construction, simulating coastal sandstone with frosted paint, broken-marble stone, and terrazzo, bringing the beauty of nature indoors.
Hezi boasts 21 rooms, including 11 with TV and 10 with projection screens, along with 8 spa rooms, accommodating up to 80 people at a time.
The project was launched in August 2019, completed in December 2019, and is located in Changzhou, China. The design team includes Design Director Kai Wang, Interior Designer Chen Cai, and Soft Outfit Designers Longjun Deng and Aoshuang Qi.
Hezi's design is a result of extensive research on stone buildings, material selection, and the cultural significance of arches. The project overcame challenges in material selection to create a sustainable, vacation-like atmosphere, integrating spa, dining, social interaction, and leisure.
The design aims to provide an immersive experience, with pure white materials creating a serene space, while the arches and soft accessories evoke a sense of mystery and raw beauty, offering an escape from the everyday hustle.
Hezi's design was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence.
