Design Unveiled: Hongyang Kaisa Riverside Mansion Sales Center

Jay Lee's design for the Hongyang Kaisa Riverside Mansion Sales Center in Nanjing draws inspiration from the city's rich historical and cultural heritage, infusing modern techniques with traditional Jiangnan architecture. The "Four Waters Returning to the Hall" theme reflects the unity of heaven and man, with rainwater symbolizing the gathering of the heart of heaven. The design optimizes oriental wisdom and traditional memories, creating a unique and immersive experience for visitors.

The interior design showcases the seamless integration of modern technology and traditional architecture, using materials such as metal grids with Chinese flavor, glass bricks, matte and smooth stones, and a glass curtain wall. The 697 square meter space is a testament to the designer's ability to harmoniously blend oriental, modern, and traditional elements, creating a captivating and immersive environment.

Completed in November 2019, the project presented several challenges, including the presentation of oriental wisdom with modern techniques and the use of sequential techniques from Jiangnan house roofs. The result is a space that exudes a sense of reality, charm, and symbiosis, enhanced by the interplay of light and shadow, creating a captivating and enchanting atmosphere.

Recognized for its outstanding expertise and innovation, the design was honored with the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious accolade celebrates the design's exceptional technical characteristics and remarkable artistic skill, showcasing a remarkable level of excellence and introducing positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
