Hans Kline Unveils the Ridge Room, a Captivating Restaurant and Rooftop Lounge

Hans Kline introduces the Ridge Room, a captivating restaurant and rooftop lounge located on the top floor of the Hyatt Place. Inspired by the local environment, this warm and charming space reflects the culture of the Blue Ridge Mountains, offering guests a unique and intimate experience. The Ridge Room project commenced in 2019 and was successfully completed in December 2021, providing a semi-custom space that stands out within the hotel.

The Ridge Room boasts distinctive features, including a private entrance called the Trophy Room, brass tables with rustic oak seating, and a NanaWall glass wall system that opens onto an expansive patio with breathtaking mountain views. The lounge area showcases a custom fireplace, low seating, and vintage lantern displays, creating an inviting atmosphere for guests to enjoy. Additionally, the bar area features a specially designed Davinci fireplace and back-lit rainbow onyx slabs, adding a touch of warmth and elegance to the space.

Throughout the design process, Hans Kline overcame various challenges, including obtaining city approvals for new features such as fire elements and rooftop decks. The result is a space that not only meets safety standards but also offers a one-of-a-kind experience for visitors. The Ridge Room has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2023, highlighting its outstanding creativity and innovation in interior space and exhibition design.
