Calvin Leo, a renowned designer from Beijing, China, has unveiled the Hebei Branch of Cams Cancer Hospital, a modern medical space designed to provide a warm and soothing environment for patients.

Calvin Leo's design for the Hebei Branch of Cams Cancer Hospital is a testament to the harmonious relationship between nature and architecture. Each node space within the hospital is themed after natural elements such as mountains, rivers, trees, flowers, and grass, creating a serene and comforting atmosphere for patients and visitors. The project covers a total area of 593,000 square meters and is located in Langfang, China.
The design team, led by Calvin Leo, utilized a variety of materials including stone, wall tiles, medical decorative board, latex paint, mineral wool board, PVC, and aluminum board to bring the natural themes to life within the hospital space. The project, which commenced in January 2020, was completed in January 2021, showcasing the team's dedication to creating a healing environment within a relatively short timeframe.
Calvin Leo's design philosophy focuses on creating spaces that evoke emotional responses, with a particular emphasis on natural, soft, light, smooth, round, elegant, and sensual elements. The hospital's unique design challenges were overcome through the use of organic lines and continuous forms, ensuring that the entire space is filled with the calming essence of nature.
