Bo Liu's design for the Fuzhou Marriott Riverside draws inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China. The hotel, spanning 45000㎡, features 318 modern rooms, three restaurants, and a large grand ballroom and meeting room area. The design seamlessly integrates Marriott's international brand strategy with Fuzhou's 2500 years of history and unique cultural heritage, creating a captivating blend of luxury and tradition.

The hotel's design is a testament to the region's historical and cultural influences, incorporating indigenous lacquer art, oil paper umbrellas, and tea traditions. The aesthetic concept of "Blowing Wind and Flowing Water" pays homage to Fuzhou's origins as the starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road. The design elements, including stunning lacquer screens and marine-inspired motifs, offer guests a captivating journey into the local Fujian culture and characteristics.

Challenges in harmonizing classical techniques with modern styles and meeting international brand standards were overcome through innovative design solutions.
