Thaisa Nascimento Correa, an architect from Itajai, Brazil, has unveiled Laguna 182, a groundbreaking residential building designed to positively impact urban spaces and people's lives. The project, which began in January 2021 and was completed in 2023, features a unique terraced design that provides private gardens for each apartment, promoting a sense of community and contact with nature. The building, with its curved and sinuous lines, aims to be a timeless icon for the city, integrating technology, sustainability, and a healthy living environment.
The design stands out for its use of materials such as concrete, glass, ceramic, galvanized steel, ACM, natural plants, LED lighting, and certified wood, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and quality of life. With a total of 41 apartments on 14 different floor plans, Laguna 182 offers a unique living experience with cantilevered terraces and a focus on energy efficiency, urban gardens, and conscious consumption.
Thaisa Nascimento Correa's vision for Laguna 182 is rooted in extensive research on the impact of environments on health, biophilia, and user habits. The project overcame the challenge of creating a design that serves as a landmark for the city while positively impacting the lives of its users.
