FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fu Mei Chiu's "Ink Black Lightness" is a contemporary residential project located in Taichung, Taiwan, covering an area of 230 square meters. The design is characterized by the use of Senna Siamea, Portuguese Corkwood, and Blue and White Porcelain Marble, creating a space that exudes elegance and simplicity.
The project explores the internal and external conditions of the design, responding to the real needs of the occupants, emphasizing the integrity of the structure, form, and aesthetics. The use of exquisite materials and authentic construction methods aims to create a work embellished with a contemporary spirit.
The design features the shades of ink-black color, creating a poetic and artistic panoramic view of the space. The dark-color tone dominates the space visually, while subtle decoration brings about a sense of elegance mixed with slight luxury.
Challenges in the design process included overcoming technical and aesthetic obstacles, such as the curved angle of the ceiling and conceptualizing a free space that incorporates the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The solution involved innovative design approaches to create a neat, organized living area.
Fu Mei Chiu's "Ink Black Lightness" was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence in interior space, retail, and exhibition design.
