Discover the innovative office space designed by HSUAN HUI LIN for GSI Technology, completed in March 2020 in Taichung, Taiwan.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The GSI Technology office, designed by HSUAN HUI LIN, redefines the traditional office space, incorporating a transparent and pressure-free configuration with a simple, clean, and extended sense of technology. The use of arc elements balances the overall space, creating a functional and artistic working space with a revolutionary aesthetic.
The office space utilizes a cool tone of materials and a warm tone of light and shadow to establish a distinctive contrast, guiding infinite circulation of space and shaping rich layers and memory points. The design integrates modern arc and light to drive an efficient work mentality, meeting the company's operational needs while maintaining a concise quality.
Adhering to the idea of simplifying complexity, the material selection includes plain tiles, plastic floors, HPL boards, and special paints, combined with multiple textures such as fabric, metal, stone, iron pieces, and brick walls to add spatial variability through geometric stacking.
The design team utilized a simple and clear linear vocabulary to create a dense rhythm between the ceiling and the wall, summarizing the clear outline of the space. The precise application of light sources and curved surfaces, arcs, and transitions create a three-dimensional visual artistic level and flow.
In order to resolve the high-pressure characteristics of the industry, the office space is built to include a home-like relaxation function, with the chairman's room combining office, dressing, and lounge areas into one. The employees' rest area is designed with light colors to create a comfortable atmosphere.
The overall design covers an area of 150 square meters and is built with a spacious and flexible style, showcasing the company's innovative vision. The large window view introduces a comfortable and pleasant space, with a rational and suitable layout for the reception hall, working area, supervisor's office, chairman's room, meeting room, and lounge area.
The office space overcame challenges such as using floor-to-ceiling glass curtains as compartments for each area, selecting environmentally friendly and reusable materials, and concealing air conditioning and pipeline equipment within the ceiling height limitations.
The project was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authenticates experience and resourcefulness, contributing to quality of life improvements.
