Architect Shamsudin Kerimov has unveiled the "House in Okolitsa," a remarkable residential building located in the villa community of Okolitsa, Moscow region. The 1500 sq. m house is a testament to innovative design, featuring an atrium structure that seamlessly integrates natural elements into the architecture, erasing the boundaries between the interior and exterior spaces.
The unique architecture of the "House in Okolitsa" is defined by the complex topography of the site, nestled within a practically forested area. To harmoniously blend the house with its environment, each volume is separated by atriums, ensuring the privacy of individual zones while forming interconnected relations between the exterior and interior, landscape, and architecture.
The materials used in the project include hand-formed clinker bricks, roof tiles, decking, stone, and various types of metal, plaster, and paving stones, showcasing a meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship.
With a central entrance leading to a spacious living room and kitchen, the "House in Okolitsa" features a guest bedroom, workshop, master bedroom, children's rooms, a library, and various functional spaces. The second floor includes a cabinet, second master bedroom, and a spa, while the site also houses facilities for staff, technical facilities, and a garage for three cars.
The "House in Okolitsa" project commenced in 2019 and is currently in progress, with its architectural excellence recognized by the prestigious A' Design Award, where it received the Silver Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category in 2021.
