In the Ocean Current project, the atmosphere of leisure and vacation is represented in a pure white and gentle tone, with unique brushstroke-like black lines creating a captivating contrast. Special angles such as arcs and bevels are presented in different forms, adding depth and character to the space. The design team's delicate arrangements and sleek, modern vision create a no-burden holiday house for the client.
The project features a warm wooden floor, carefully divided space areas with different wood grain textures, and the use of marble to create a natural primitive sense of wood and stone. Black iron pieces on the facade add an industrial-style visual balance and modern design touch to the space.
To meet the client's comfort and nature, the design team ensured that the living room's height was not too low, using arc-shaped beams to create a unique wave of fun in the ceiling. The arc-shaped beams also contribute to the height difference of the living room, providing a sense of release upon entering the space.
The design is characterized by keywords such as holiday home, arc design, black and white color contrast, and wood and stone combination, reflecting its unique features and strengths.
Wu Wan Yu's Ocean Current project was completed in February 2016 in Taipei, Taiwan, and was inspired by the flowing scenery of the Aihe River estuary. The design team combined the local scenery with the client's leisure residence, creating a space where natural primitive and modern technology coexist.
The project was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative nature that meets professional and industrial requirements, contributing to a better world.
