FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Gronych + Dollega Architekten presents Haus M, a private house in Tiefenbach, Hessen, Germany, completed in 2012. Inspired by the archaic shapes of mining, the design transforms traditional mining elements into a modern architectural masterpiece. The asymmetric shape of the residence evokes the image of a mine, creating a high room segmented by a sculpturally shaped, suspended gallery layer. The large frontal terrace plane operates like a stage set, providing the room with immense depth.
The main building features an entirely prefabricated Wood Frame construction, with the gallery plane seemingly floating within the main room. In-situ concrete is used for the basement and ceiling, while the roof cladding is made from an aluminum alloy. The design's high main room measures 10000 mm x 8000 mm x 6000 mm, creating a unique and captivating spatial experience.
The design of Haus M was awarded the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2017, recognizing its outstanding and trendsetting creation that reflects the architects' prodigy and wisdom. This innovative design embodies extraordinary excellence and significantly impacts the world with its desirable characteristics.
