Greater Dog Architects introduces Leding Bespoke, a retail space designed by Zhihong Hu, showcasing a poetic expression of time flow and the revival of handcrafted elegance. The project commenced in October 2018 and was completed in August 2019 in Shaoxing, China.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Greater Dog Architects, in collaboration with Zhihong Hu, has seamlessly merged traditional craftsmanship with contemporary retail concepts in the creation of Leding Bespoke. The space embodies the essence of handcrafted elegance, evoking the memory of the bygone era of bespoke tailoring while offering high-quality suits in a modern and fashionable setting.
The design's unique feature, "Time Flow," symbolizes the gradual transformation of fabric into exquisite suits, represented by movable cubes. The space is meticulously planned to accommodate the tailoring process, with a focus on body measurement and cutting. The use of materials such as polished white tile, textured paint, and terrazzo reflects the meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship.
The challenges of integrating the entrance with the staircase were ingeniously overcome by incorporating blue laminated glass and an arrangement of cubes, creating an inviting and visually captivating experience for visitors.
Zhihong Hu and Jin Xin, the visionary minds behind Greater Dog Architects, have received the prestigious Silver A' Design Award for their outstanding work on the Leding Bespoke retail space. This accolade recognizes their exceptional creativity and technical prowess in delivering a design that exudes innovation and excellence.
