Architect keun young Shim presents "A House in the Landscape," a residential design inspired by the earth's natural harmony. The project, located in Pangyo-dong, Republic of Korea, embodies a unique approach to architecture that integrates seamlessly with the environment.
The house, with a site area of 282.70 m², features a unique brick exterior, white brick, zinc, Western Red Cedar, and broken stone, offering a warm and solid aesthetic. The design's unique properties include an appropriative scenery sequence, borrowing natural surroundings as a living picture frame.
Constructed from 2017 to 2018, the house stands out with its earthy materials and a focus on balance and naturalness. The design team, led by keun young Shim and Dong Won Chung, aimed to create a residential space that deepens the human experience through its interaction with nature.
Architects601, the team behind the project, meticulously realized the design, ensuring it blends effortlessly with the surrounding landscape. The house's unique features and adaptability make it a standout example of architecture in harmony with nature.
