FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Renowned artist Jansword Zhu completes a monumental 61-meter mural at Hyatt Centric Gaoxin Xi'an, embodying the theme of "The Whisper of Silk and The Song of Horses." The mural, rising 5 meters in height, showcases the historical origins of the Silk Road and the culturally rich city of Xi'an through a contemporary lens. The first section, resembling an abstract dragon head, draws inspiration from an engine, while the second segment showcases three dynamic horses inspired by the terracotta army horse, jade horse, and horse stone carving in Xi'an, symbolizing the three dynasties that established their capital in Xi'an.
The strokes within the circles are derived from the cursive script of calligraphy master Zhang Xu during the Tang dynasty, illuminating the entire architecture designed by Japanese architect Kuma Kengo, embodying the essence of the Hyatt Centric brand: "To explore."
The giant murals at Hyatt Centric Gaoxin Xi'an stand out as the hotel's premier art attraction, offering a vibrant and immersive experience for visitors.
The project, which started in December 2019, was completed in December 2023 in Xi'an, China. The mural has been recognized with the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2024, reflecting Jansword Zhu's prodigy and wisdom in creating a trendsetting masterpiece that significantly impacts the world with its desirable characteristics.
