Robin, Wang Unveils a Unique Villa Design Inspired by the History of Human Flight
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Under the guidance of Da Vinci's blueprint, Robin, Wang has created a unique villa design, drawing inspiration from the master's aircraft and infusing it with a stronger artistic atmosphere. The villa, spanning 645 square meters, is located in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, and was completed in October 2021.
The design features classic blue as the theme color, reflecting the concept of flying in the sky. The use of calm blue, plain logs, and textured stones creates a simple yet vibrant ambiance, while the incorporation of smooth granite, nubuck leather, multi-layer solid wood flooring, and ashlar brick showcases the designer's attention to detail and craftsmanship.
The living room, designed with an LDK layout, seamlessly integrates with widescreen French windows, offering a panoramic view and a sense of openness. The space also incorporates elements of steampunk style, with metal materials used for the propeller ceiling fan, aircraft-patterned clock, and classic blue aircraft back chair, evoking the mechanical beauty of the ancient era in which Da Vinci lived.
Robin, Wang's design pays homage to Da Vinci's legacy, incorporating a spatial imagination of a teahouse as an art exhibition, symbolically engaging with the master through the medium of an olive tree, representing peace. The installation's unique feature lies in the use of waxed linen for the wings' flaps, mimicking feathers and adding a touch of authenticity to the design.
The project reflects extensive research into art history, museology, and art criticism, aiming to evoke a sense of simplicity, the passage of time, the dream of flying, and the essence of life within the space. It represents a profound exploration of human aspirations and the evolution of flight, encapsulating the enduring spirit of innovation and exploration.
Robin, Wang, a seasoned designer with 25 years of experience, has been dedicated to delivering humanistic and artistic spatial designs, exploring sustainable contemporary lifestyles, and meeting the emotional and spiritual needs of people. His work has garnered international recognition, including the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2022, affirming the remarkable impact of his designs on the world of art, science, and technology.
