Chalets Dada: A Luxurious Residential Building in the Faraya Mountains

Architect Joy Alexandre Harb presents Chalets Dada, a stunning residential building nestled in the high mountains of Faraya Resorts, Lebanon. The building's design was inspired by a child's house scribbling, resulting in a composition that embodies beauty and sophistication. The layout features a ground floor housing a spacious apartment framed by a flower bed, along with two unique duplexes on the first and attic floors, all adorned with Terrazzo stone. The building's design is a play of simple geometric shapes, solids, voids, and materials, creating a truly unique living space.

The building's construction involved a mix of mechanical fixed natural stones, large-sized windows, and a repetitive pattern of solid wood, allowing for the integration of electro-mechanical details into the finishes. With a total built-up area of 880m2, the building comprises three floors and a basement, hosting one single residential unit and two duplexes.

Chalets Dada offers a seamless interaction with nature, featuring large windows on the ground floor that provide stunning views of the 400m2 garden. The elevated position of the duplexes offers unique vistas of the snowy mountains of Faraya, creating an exceptional living experience.

The project, which commenced in February 2022, is set to be completed by November 2024. Despite facing challenges posed by harsh weather conditions, the design team overcame these obstacles by creating adapted details and utilizing high-performing materials to withstand the exterior elements.

Chalets Dada has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2022, showcasing outstanding expertise and innovation in architecture, building, and structure design. This project reflects Joy Alexandre Harb's commitment to revolutionizing architectural designs and creating remarkable living spaces that inspire awe and wonder.
