Landscape Planning Design Redefines Urban Parks with the Taiping New City Poetic Emerald Corridor

JWP Design presents the Taiping New City Poetic Emerald Corridor, a 5.5KM green corridor integrating nature and urban living, inspired by the concept of Emerald Necklaces. The project covers 156.42 hectares and is a significant public recreation park and green open space in Taiping New City.

The Taiping Green Corridor offers a park-like lifestyle, blending Yunnan culture, sponge system, rainwater management, and ecological elements. It provides a space for cultural enrichment and relaxation, fostering a deep connection with nature and the local landscape.

Utilizing landscape planning design, sculpture, and slow-moving system design, the project seamlessly integrates with the surrounding environment, emphasizing safety, resilience, and water resource management. The design rebuilds a system of constructed wetlands, lakes, and ecological grass streams, reshaping the water landscape while emphasizing natural accumulation, infiltration, and purification.
