Moonshot Bar: Japan Pavilion at CES 2024

Takeshi Yoshida unveils the Moonshot Bar, an innovative Japan Pavilion at CES 2024, designed to encapsulate the essence of Japan through simplicity and minimization. The booth area spans 60 feet by 50 feet, featuring an exhibition table, information counter, bar, lounge, mingle space, and an event area with a large video display. The design aims to foster interaction and conversation, creating a cozy atmosphere with abundant greenery.

Transparency and spaciousness are key elements of the design, allowing visitors to enjoy unobstructed views from one end to the other. Unlike traditional exhibition booths, Moonshot Bar offers a unique experience, encouraging guests to engage in conversations and enjoy drinks in the lounge and bar area.

The project commenced in August 2023 in San Francisco and Tokyo, culminating in its completion in January 2024 in Las Vegas, where it was showcased at CES 2024. The design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Trade Show Architecture, Interiors, and Exhibit Design in 2024, recognizing its outstanding creativity and contribution to quality of life improvements.

Yoshida's design overcame challenges posed by the low ceiling of the venue, focusing on transparency and spaciousness to attract visitors. The unconventional warm white lighting and abundant greenery create a welcoming ambiance, setting Moonshot Bar apart from traditional technology-themed booths.

Yoshida, an energetic creative director and event producer, has extensive experience in design and event management, with a strong connection to the American and Japanese entertainment industry. His innovative approach has left a mark on the design landscape, with Moonshot Bar standing as a testament to his creative ingenuity.
