Residence H: A Modern Rendition of Tradition

LIAN CHEN's Residence H in Taipei, Taiwan, beautifully marries tradition and modernity. Inspired by the houseowner's nostalgic tales of her childhood home, the design seamlessly integrates the owner's preferences while preserving the original charm. The residence, located in the heart of Taipei, serves as a performance venue, reflecting the owner's music industry background.

From the exterior renovation to the conversion of a leaky water tower into an open-air courtyard, the design showcases unique features. The earthy interior palette and abundant windows connecting to outdoor patios represent vitality and creativity, bringing endless possibilities to the house.

The project, completed in 2024, received the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its exceptional creativity, technical prowess, and innovation.
