Captivating Carnival City-Themed Play Cafe

Pınar Görpeoglu introduces Piccola, a captivating play cafe in Istanbul, Turkey, inspired by the lively atmosphere of carnivals and dynamic cityscapes. The design seamlessly blends storytelling and architecture to create an immersive experience for both children and parents, setting it apart in creativity, functionality, and experience.

The Carnival City-themed play cafe features a dynamic façade symbolizing the transition from the real world to a fairy-tale realm. With a project area of 700 square meters, the design includes architectural interpretations of city and carnival themes, integrating elements like a carousel-shaped ceiling light, city skyline-inspired wall panels, and mirror surfaces creating captivating illusions.

The interactive appeal of Piccola is enhanced by the dynamic use of space, welcoming guests with a dynamic façade that guides them to the play area and engages them with interactive game walls. The project was completed in September 2023 and was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2024 for its outstanding expertise and innovation.

With a background in architecture and interior design, Pınar Görpeoglu's expertise in creating children's spaces shines through in Piccola, offering a space that feels like stepping into a lively carnival city, where every detail adds to the immersive atmosphere.
