JINGYI CAI unveils a unique house design inspired by black-and-white photography, blending European classical style with modern visual effects in Shaoguan, China
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
JINGYI CAI presents the Biguiyuan house design, a modern European classical residence in an upscale villa complex in Shaoguan, Guangdong Province, China. Inspired by the strong black-and-white contrast in photography, the design incorporates geometric elements to replace traditional classic-style columns and arches, creating a visually striking effect. The 800-square-meter, four-floor house caters to a family of six and a cat, meeting unique "feng shui" and "numerology" requirements while ensuring both aesthetics and functionality.
The project, which commenced in April 2020 and concluded in July 2020, utilized stainless steel, iron, glass, and ceramic tile to realize the designer's vision. The real challenge lay in controlling the black and white color ratio to achieve a simple yet visually impactful design. Despite the absence of new construction techniques, the successful presentation of unique colors relied on the designers' extensive experience in mastering the accurate color ratio.
JINGYI CAI, a graduate from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, China, is renowned for her cool, concise, elegant, and creative designs. With 13 years of experience in interior design and graphic design, she has consistently delivered innovative workspaces and dynamic brand designs for various commercial units and outdoor LED TV companies.
