WeiPing Lin's "Curve" project, a unique residential design inspired by water droplets, is completed in Ningbo, China, offering a distinctive and dynamic living space for a young couple.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WeiPing Lin's "Curve" project breaks the traditional square house pattern, drawing inspiration from water droplets to create a highly distinctive, dynamic, and aesthetically pleasing interior space. Located in a skyscraper in the center of Ningbo, the space enjoys excellent natural lighting conditions and views, offering a unique living experience for the individualistic couple.
The apartment project covers an area of 600 sqm and features sustainable materials, including low-voc paints, large-sized sintered stone flooring, and FSC or PEFC certified cupboards. The design also incorporates a row of stainless steel along the windows to enhance natural light reflection, reducing the need for artificial lighting.
The project, which started in June 2019 and finished in October 2022, faced challenges in designing and modeling curved shapes, resulting in custom-designed unique-shaped doors and a handle-free door opening method.
