Discover the innovative Farol ceiling light, a blend of heritage and modern design, created by Trick's lead designer Katia Martins and Tiago Russo
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Trick Design Ltd. introduces Farol, a ceiling light designed by Katia Martins and Tiago Russo, blending heritage and modern design. Inspired by Portugal's historical exploration of cork, Farol features a smooth truncated cone made of cork, combined with painted steel, emitting a soft, diffuse spotlight for a warm ambiance. The lamp's minimalist design and solid neutral colors make it a statement piece, even when not in use.
Farol is crafted using traditional techniques, with stainless steel metal spun and cork lathe machining. The lamp is a fully eco-friendly product, made with recyclable components and sustainable materials, including the packaging. Its aesthetic appeal and contemporary design align with a commitment to environmental responsibility.
Developed between 2018 and 2021 and prototyped in 2022, Farol is a result of continuous research and development, aiming to achieve a seamless, eco-friendly, and visually impactful lighting solution. The lamp's unique inverted diamond shape and clean extruded geometries reflect the brand's dedication to minimalism and sustainability.
