Living The Noom: A Sustainable Housing Concept

sanzpont [arquitectura] introduces "Living The Noom," a housing project that redefines the concept of home, focusing on Wellness Living, Sustainability, and Flexible Living. The project aims to create a community with shared values, offering a sanctuary of conscious life for its residents.

The project integrates bioclimatic and sustainable strategies, including rainwater harvesting, wastewater separation, and vegetation cover to reduce the Heat Island effect. Through digital simulation, the project achieves 85% energy savings and promotes a reduction in resource use.

Comprising three buildings of five stories each, "Living The Noom" features open-plan spaces that can be configured in multiple options, offering 1, 2, or 3-bedroom apartments. The project occupies just 30% of the 2046 square meter lot, preserving existing vegetation and restoring 2,500 square meters of removed vegetation through green roofs and facades.

sanzpont [arquitectura] conducted extensive research on bioclimatic and sustainable strategies applicable to the Mexican Caribbean, ensuring the project's environmental responsibility and its positive impact on residents' health.

The project's main challenge was to create a sustainable and wellness-focused housing proposal with low density and land occupancy while maintaining an affordable and competitive price in the real estate market. "Living The Noom" aims to prioritize the environment, health, and affordability equally.

With "Living The Noom," sanzpont [arquitectura] presents a new housing concept that offers wellness and sustainable features, promoting a connection between the user, the city, and the environment. The project's design philosophy is rooted in a constant search for innovation and functionality, reflecting the belief that architecture should be useful, logical, beautiful, and sustainable.
