I-Te Yeh's aRctualize Lab Unveils Innovative "Link To The World" Residence in New Taipei City
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
I-Te Yeh's aRctualize Lab has unveiled an innovative residence design, "Link To The World," in New Taipei City. The design aims to create a space that serves as a starting point for the owner, connecting him to the world through interaction with different people.
Within the limited space, aRctualize Lab has abandoned the traditional TV wall and introduced the concept of "world connection knobs," representing the interaction and density of people located on earth. The wall features a graphic map of the world, with each spot representing where people have interacted and where light is present at night.
The design, realized through digital fabrication, incorporates lazier cut metal boards to give a modern and high-tech feel, reflecting the owner's identity as a young engineer. The space is designed to be flexible, accommodating the owner's varying needs, from alone time to hosting larger groups.
aRctualize Lab's design philosophy centers around honoring the relationship and interaction between people. The "Link To The World" residence was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authenticates experience and resourcefulness.
