Studio Vasaka introduces a modern, functional office space in Chandigarh, inspired by the city's rich palette and brutalist architecture, offering a unique and comfortable environment for the ACME office.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Studio Vasaka has unveiled a contemporary workspace design for the ACME office, located in a rapidly developing area near Chandigarh. The design reflects a slightly rustic yet incredibly contemporary theme, echoing the colors, appearance, and rich palette of the city. The office serves as an ode to the brutalist palette, inspiring familiarity and comfort while representing the city to an international audience.
The office space commands a modern, forward take on functionality and experience, utilizing spatial elements, materials, and finishes to bring the entire workspace together. The monolithic concrete floor binds the workspace, complemented by high ceilings, classic wooden blinds, and designer furniture, creating a dynamic and statement ceiling installation. The use of the color 'yellow' adds interest to the working surfaces, enhancing the overall aesthetic.
The design features exposed concrete, brick, wood, and metal in a sleek, modernist fashion, with glass partition walls creating a sense of interconnectedness within the workspace. The interiors effectively utilize natural light and on-site height, bringing the play of volumes, surfaces, and materials to life.
The project commenced in January 2023 and was completed by December 2023, showcasing meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of the design, from furniture pieces to spatial elements. The design received the Bronze A' Design Award in 2024, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious approach that authenticates experience and resourcefulness, contributing to quality of life improvements.
