Gordon Wang's Revived Memory Restaurant Design in Qinhuangdao, China, Wins A' Design Award
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Gordon Wang's Revived Memory is a stunning 1000 square meter restaurant design located in Qinhuangdao, China. The design ingeniously integrates the feeling of the Loess Plateau, reinterpreting the Chinese cultural concept of the northwest cultural memory, and showcasing unique artistic beauty. The project started in August 2018 and finished in February 2019.
The whole space combines performance interaction elements to create a music restaurant atmosphere, subverting the traditional idea of multiple tables for diners. The design aims to provide a precise, quiet, and scenic dining experience, allowing customers to taste delicious food and experience traditional intangible cultural heritage culture in the northwest.
The design introduces a large area of yellow mud wall, creating a warm space that dialogues between culture and people on the Loess Plateau. The space echoes the elegance and simplicity of traditional East, constituting an oriental mood.
In the hardware design, the layout mode is broken to enhance the integration of culture. The Yellow River Valley and Loess Plateau cultural circle are the central design ideas, incorporating brick carving art into the interior to build a rich vision of spiritual life.
Revived Memory won the Iron A' Design Award in 2020, recognized for its well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The design integrates industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
