Qingfan Zhang's Rock Jewelry Store, a unique blend of architecture and business strategy, wins the Bronze A' Design Award for Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Qingfan Zhang's Rock Jewelry Store is a testament to the fusion of business strategy and architectural space. Inspired by the natural beauty and value of gemstones, the store's design reflects the hardships, accidents, and opportunities encountered in the exploration of nature. The interior design aims to express the language of architectural spaces and materials, creating a unique and immersive experience for visitors.
The store's centerpiece is a treasure trove of private negotiation and jewelry, surrounded by rock stone walls. Visitors are guided through a path that gradually extends, allowing them to experience the natural power of the space. The wooden grille walls house horizontal long window display cabinets, adding to the store's elegant and modern ambiance.
Utilizing wood veneer laminates for cabinets and perforated aluminum panels for the ceiling, the design seamlessly integrates functionality with aesthetics. The project covers a total of 57 square meters, featuring a gradual climb and narrowing of long windows, leading visitors to the treasure house where they can admire the jewelry.
The project, which commenced in January 2019 and concluded in July 2019 in Beijing, aimed to restore the rough and original feeling of nature within the store space. Overcoming challenges such as the uneven thickness of customized stone, the designers successfully created a space that embodies the essence of the natural world while meeting the requirements of the shopping mall environment.
The Rock Jewelry Store is a testament to Qingfan Zhang's innovative approach to interior design, earning her the Bronze A' Design Award for its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authentically integrates experience and resourcefulness.
